Blessed Antonia of Florence
Blessed Antonia of Florence (born c. 1401 AD in Florence, Tuscany, Italy; died February 28, 1472 AD in Florence, Tuscany, Italy) was an Italian Augustinian tertiary and foundress of a community of Augustinian women at Florence known as the Corpus Domini. She was a widow who, after the death of her husband, gathered a community of devout women at Florence and eventually founded the Augustinian monastery of Corpus Domini there. She is venerated in the Augustinian tradition of Florence. Her feast day is February 28.

Biography
Antonia was born c. 1401 in Florence, the great city of the Italian Renaissance. She was married and widowed, and after her husband's death she dedicated herself to religious life.
She gathered a community of devout women in Florence and eventually founded the Augustinian community known as Corpus Domini (Body of the Lord). She governed this community until her death and was known for personal holiness, contemplative prayer, and Eucharistic devotion.
She died February 28, 1472, in Florence. She is venerated in the local Augustinian tradition on February 28.
