Blessed Angelus of Furci
Blessed Angelus of Furci (born c. 1246 AD in Furci, Abruzzo, Italy; died February 6, 1327 AD in Vasto, Abruzzo, Italy) was an Italian Augustinian hermit friar from Furci in Abruzzo who was known for holiness, contemplative prayer, and preaching. He spent his life in the Augustinian communities of Abruzzo and was venerated immediately after his death. His feast day is February 6.

Biography
Angelus was born c. 1246 in Furci, a hill town in the Chieti province of Abruzzo, in the same decade that the Augustinian Order was formally constituted (1256). He entered the Augustinian Order and spent his life in the Augustinian communities of Abruzzo, living the contemplative and apostolic life of prayer and preaching that characterized the early Augustinian hermits.
He was known for personal holiness and devotion to the Augustinian vocation. He died February 6, 1327, at the Augustinian friary of Vasto on the Adriatic coast of Abruzzo, at approximately 81 years of age.
He is venerated locally in the Augustinian tradition on February 6.
