Blessed Andrew Sushinda
Blessed Andrew Sushinda (died October 3, 1622 AD in Nagasaki, Japan) was a Japanese Catholic layman who was martyred during the Tokugawa persecution of Christians in Japan. He was among the large group of martyrs beatified by Pope Benedict XVI in 2008 as part of the 205 Martyrs of Japan. His feast day is September 10.

Andrew Sushinda was a Japanese Catholic layman who died for his faith during the Tokugawa shogunate's systematic persecution of Christianity in Japan. He was martyred at Nagasaki — the center of Japanese Catholic life and martyrdom — in 1622, during the period of intense persecutions that followed the Great Martyrdom of Nagasaki on September 10, 1622.
