Blessed Anastazy Jakub Pankiewicz
Blessed Anastazy Jakub Pankiewicz (born August 3, 1882 AD in Radolin, Greater Poland, Poland; died May 1, 1942 AD in Dachau, Bavaria, Germany) was a Polish Capuchin priest who was imprisoned and killed at the Dachau concentration camp during the Nazi occupation of Poland. He is one of the 108 Polish Martyrs of World War II beatified by Pope John Paul II on June 13, 1999. His feast day is June 12.

Biography
Anastazy Jakub Pankiewicz was born August 3, 1882, in Radolin, Greater Poland. He entered the Capuchin Order and was ordained a priest. He served in the Capuchin missions in Poland.
When Germany invaded Poland in September 1939, the Nazi regime began systematically arresting Polish Catholic clergy. Anastazy Jakub Pankiewicz was arrested and deported to Dachau concentration camp. He died there on May 1, 1942 — a date of significance both in the Catholic calendar and in the workers' movement — at age 59.
He was beatified by Pope John Paul II on June 13, 1999, in Warsaw as one of the 108 Polish Martyrs of World War II.
