Blessed Amata of San Sisto (born c. 1200 AD in Rome, Italy; died June 10, c. 1270 AD in Rome, Italy) was an Italian Dominican nun at the convent of San Sisto in Rome — the first Dominican convent established by Saint Dominic himself in 1221. She was a niece of Saint Dominic and was among the first women to enter his convent. She is venerated locally in the Roman Dominican tradition. Her feast day is June 10.

Biography
Amata of San Sisto was born c. 1200 in Rome, possibly related to Saint Dominic by family ties (some traditions call her his niece). When Saint Dominic established the first Dominican convent at San Sisto Vecchio on Rome's Appian Way in 1221, gathering women from several Roman monasteries, Amata was among the first to enter the new community.
She lived at San Sisto for approximately 50 years and was a primary witness to the early days of Dominican women's religious life and to the memory of Saint Dominic. Her testimony was used in the formal canonization process of Dominic (1233) in Rome.
She died c. June 10, 1270, at San Sisto and is venerated locally on that date.
