Blessed Aloysius Luis Rabata
Blessed Aloysius Luis Rabata (born c. 1430 AD in Polizzi Generosa, Sicily, Italy; died May 11, 1490 AD in Randazzo, Sicily, Italy) was a Sicilian Carmelite friar known for holiness, humility, and remarkable charity toward those who injured him. When a man struck him with a stone and blinded one of his eyes, he sought only the offender's good and reconciliation. He died of the injury. He was beatified by Pope Gregory XVI in 1841. His feast day is May 11.

Biography
Aloysius Luis Rabata was born c. 1430 in Polizzi Generosa in the Sicilian Madonie mountains. He entered the Carmelite Order and lived as a friar of the Carmelite convent of Randazzo in northeastern Sicily.
He was known for humility and charity throughout his life. Near the end of his life, a man threw a stone at him that struck and blinded one eye. Rabata's response was remarkable: instead of anger or accusation, he showed only forgiveness and concern for the man's spiritual welfare, seeking his reconciliation with God.
He died of the injury on May 11, 1490, at Randazzo. He was beatified by Pope Gregory XVI in 1841.
