Blessed Alojzy Liguda
Blessed Alojzy Liguda (born January 27, 1898 AD in Winów, Silesia, Poland; died December 8, 1942 AD in Dachau, Bavaria, Germany) was a Polish Divine Word missionary (SVD) priest who was imprisoned and killed at the Dachau concentration camp. He is one of the 108 Polish Martyrs of World War II beatified by Pope John Paul II on June 13, 1999. His feast day is June 12.

Biography
Alojzy Liguda was born January 27, 1898, in Winów, Silesia (then part of the German Empire, now Poland). He entered the Society of the Divine Word (SVD), a missionary congregation founded by Saint Arnold Janssen, and was ordained a priest.
When Germany invaded Poland in September 1939, the Nazi regime began systematically targeting Polish Catholic clergy. Alojzy Liguda was arrested and deported to Dachau concentration camp, where over 800 Polish priests would die.
He died at Dachau on December 8, 1942 — the feast of the Immaculate Conception — at age 44.
He was beatified by Pope John Paul II on June 13, 1999, in Warsaw as one of the 108 Polish Martyrs of World War II.
