Blessed Aloisius Maria Monti
Blessed Aloisius Maria Monti (born July 24, 1825 AD in Bovisio, Lombardy, Italy; died November 1, 1900 AD in Milan, Lombardy, Italy) was an Italian lay brother of the Piarists (Clerks Regular of the Poor Schools, or Somascan Fathers) who devoted his life to nursing the sick, particularly patients with contagious diseases. He founded the Congregation of the Brothers of Saint Joseph to carry on this work. He was beatified by Pope John Paul II on October 5, 2003. His feast day is November 1.

Biography
Aloisius Maria Monti was born July 24, 1825, in Bovisio, Lombardy, to a modest family. He worked as a tailor and later entered the Piarist Order as a lay brother.
He devoted himself to nursing the sick in the hospitals and prisons of Milan, with particular willingness to nurse patients with contagious diseases — typhus, cholera, tuberculosis — when others refused. He contracted illness repeatedly but always recovered.
He founded the Congregation of the Brothers of Saint Joseph to continue this nursing ministry. He worked in this way for decades in the industrializing Milan of the 19th century.
He died November 1, 1900 — All Saints Day — in Milan at age 75. He was beatified by Pope John Paul II on October 5, 2003.
