Biography
Albertinus was a Camaldolese hermit monk at Fonte Avellana, one of the most famous eremitic monasteries in central Italy — the hermitage made great by Saint Peter Damian in the 11th century. He lived the austere eremitical life of prayer, penance, and solitude in the Apennine forest of the Marche.
He died c. 1294 and is venerated locally as one of the holy monks of the Fonte Avellana tradition, commemorated on August 31.
