The Archdiocese of Puerto Montt, an archdiocese of the Latin Rite, is an active archdiocese in southern Chile. Established in 1939 by Pope Pius XII, it serves as the metropolitan see for the Ecclesiastical Province of Puerto Montt and encompasses the regions of Los Lagos and parts of Los Ríos. Led by Archbishop Fernando Chomalí Garib since 2023, the archdiocese ministers to a Catholic population in a territory marked by strong indigenous and rural traditions.
